I have photographed all sorts of people in all sorts of places.
But they weren’t from around here, local to where I live now.
I’d travelled to take photographs, and people had travelled to me but I hadn’t photographed anybody here.
To explore what was going on around me, I started asking local people if I could take their picture.
Each time I photographed someone I asked them if they could suggest someone else who might be a suitable subject, and I let that randomness guide me.
